1. This light does not come in individual boxes but are sold individually on a shipper. So, first thing's first. Inspect your purchase and make sure no fractures exist on the product.

2. With one hand firmly holding the lamp head and the other hand grasping the base, turn the base counter clockwise about a half turn. This will release the lamp head from the base.

3. You should now clearly see an orange tag with an arrow on it sticking out of the lamp head. Take hold of the tag and pull it out. This is a safety tag which intercepts the flow of energy from the solar cells to the actual light bulb itself. 4. In reversing motion from Step 2, attach the lamp head back on to the base.
